Reviews of 'Ev'rything I Love':
BIG BAND WORLD
"Cole Porter at his finest, Elaine Delmar at her finest and pianist Brian Dee and guitarist and bassist and drummer Allan Ganley at their finest! What more could you wish for? Bliss! The whole album reeks of class, style, wit, talent and 'joie de vivre', Elaine tells me she made this and a similar set of Gershwin songs in two days. But we'll have to wait patiently awhile for the Gershwin album. Meanwhile, enjoy."

CRESCENDO & JAZZ MUSIC
"One of our best singers, supported by a quartet of outstanding musicians, performing the music of one of the greatest composers of popular music of all time. Can't be bad can it! There are so many things to enjoy on this album ....listen to how well Elaine Delmar sings and how she gets right to the very essence of the words she is singing ... This is an excellent CD, by a quality singer who pays attention to the words she is singing, their meaning and the way they should be pronounced. The overall feel is that she and her four musicians have given their very best and made it all sound so delightfully easy. Great composer, splendid performers."

(Four star rating ****)
"Defeat the midwinter blues with this quality collection of 13 Cole Porter classics, including Just One of Those Things, Night and Day, Love for Sale and the title track, delivered in the warm and furry voice of Elaine Delmar.
Behind her, Brian Dee's quartet sounds focused yet relaxed, with Jim Mullen's soulful guitar solos - "we call him Musical Viagra," says Elaine - complementing Dee's cleanly articulated, Oscar Peterson-inspired piano embellishments.
A mature artist in a market full of bland college-leavers with little life experience, individuality or genuine feeling in their work, Delmar demonstrates how a jazz standard should be sung."

IRISH TIMES, 14th June 2006
(Four star rating ****)
"They say that fashion is temporary, class permanent. Delmar has never had a profile to match younger singers such as Diana Krall or Jane Monheit but her work on this tribute to Cole Porter puts them into highly unflattering perspective. She's ideal for the depth and sophistication of Porter's lyrics; she can handle Love For Sale with a brazen, sexy swagger, do joyful justice to the wit of Let's Do It and the rueful resignition of It's Alright With Me, and Just One Of Those Things, and show what a grown-up song I Concentrate On You is. Just as important to the impact of this fine singer are the musicians: Brian Dee (piano), Alec Dankworth (bass) and Allan Ganley (drums) make a virtually perfect rhythm section for this kind of music, while jim Mullen adds some meatily swinging guitair on several tracks."
